Ingredients

CAKE

  • 15.25 oz white cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup butter (melted)

FILLING

  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

FROSTING

    • 8 ounce package cream cheese (softened)
    • 1/4 cup butter (softened)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish; set aside.
  • In a large bowl, mix together cake mix, eggs, milk, water, and butter on low for 30 seconds.
  • Turn speed up to medium, and mix together for 1-2 minutes, or until combined.
  • Pour batter into prepared baking dish.
  • Bake for 20-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • While the cake is baking, stir together butter, brown sugar, condensed milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Set aside.
  • Using the handle of a wooden spoon (or similar instrument), poke holes in the cake (I poke about 35).
  • Pour filling mixture over warm cake, gently spreading as necessary.
  • Let cake cool to room temperature.
  • To make the frosting, beat together cream cheese and butter until combined.
  • Add powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon condensed milk. Beat together until well-combined.
  • Mix in additional condensed milk and vanilla to desired consistency.
  • Spread frosting over room temperature cake.
  • Enjoy at room temperature, or chill and enjoy cold.
  • Cover and chill any leftovers.

NOTES

  • Cake mix: I use a plain white cake mix without pudding in it.
  • Milk: You can use any milk from skim to whole milk.
  • Sweetened condensed milk: You can use either regular or non-fat sweetened condensed milk.
  • Cream cheese: Regular, 1/3-less fat, or Greek cream cheese will work. I don’t recommend fat-free in this recipe.

Ingredients

For the cake:

  • 1 box vanilla or white cake mix
  • ingredients needed to make cake eggs, oil & water

For the filling:

  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 tbsp melted salted butter
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

For the frosting:

  • 1/2 block (4 oz) cream cheese, softened to room temp.
  • 1/3 cup butter, softened to room temp.
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp heavy cream or milk

Instructions

For the cake:

  • Preheat oven to 350f degrees, Spray a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Pour prepared batter into prepared baking dish.
  • After baking, allow the cake to cool. Then using the end of a wooden spoon, poke holes (in about 1-inch intervals) into the cooled cake.

For the filling:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, melted butter, brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • Pour the filling mixture into the holes and spread it out using the back of a spoon or a butter knife.

For the frosting:

  • In a medium bowl, mix together softened cream cheese and softened butter with an electric mixer.
  • Then slowly mix in powdered sugar, vanilla extract and milk (or heavy cream.) Mix until smooth.
  • Spread frosting onto cake.
  • Sprinkle some cinnamon sugar on top of the frosting. Then put cake into the fridge for about an hour to allow the cake’s filling to set up. Then serve!

Ingredients

For 12 Servings

  • 1 box white cake mix, prepared
  • 8 tablespoons butter, melted
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar(75 g)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk(155 g)
  • 8 oz whipped topping(225 g)

Preparation

  1. Prepare white cake mix according to the box instructions and bake according to the 9×13 inch (22cm x 33cm) dish instructions.
  2. In a bowl, mix the butter, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and condensed milk until smooth.
  3. With the end of a wooden spoon, poke 24 holes in the cooled white cake.
  4. Pour the butter mixture over the cake, smoothing it out into the holes. Cover with a layer of whipped topping.
  5. Chill for 4 hours.
  6. Slice cake and serve.
  7. Enjoy!
